Veritas Christian Academy was a K-12 classical Christian school that served families in the San Jose area from September of 2004 through June of 2011, graduating 11 students from our high school during the last four years. Although we are no longer operating as a school, we wish to be helpful to you as you continue your search for educational help for your children. However, remember that this is merely a collection of helpful hints, not specific advice tailored to your family's needs, so use it for what it is worth to you. (At least you can rest assured that none of the links on this page are paid advertising!)
If you are looking for a Christian school in the San Jose area, you may find the following information helpful.
Many of the Christian schools in Santa Clara County are listed at the web site of the Christian School Association. If you are specifically looking for a classical Christian school, consider Calvary Christian Academy, which is opening in 2011 in San Jose and is the only member of the Association of Classical and Christian Schools in the South Bay, after the closure of Veritas Christian Academy this summer. (There is an unaffiliated but like-minded classical Christian school in Aptos, south of Santa Cruz: St. Abraham's Classical Christian Academy.) If you are specifically looking for a school that teaches from one of the theologically Reformed perspectives, consider Grace Christian School at Covenant Presbyterian Church in San Jose, San Jose Christian School in Campbell or Canterbury Christian School in Los Altos. (St. Abraham's is geographically the nearest full day school we know that combines all of VCA's primary distinctives, but it is located in Santa Cruz County.) Remember that this information is merely what we know to be available as of August 2011, and you may be able to find alternatives not listed here.
